Roadways supplies high-quality 8–28mm free-draining recycled aggregate for civil engineering contractors, groundworkers and builders who need a high-performance, open-graded drainage material. This newly introduced low and zero fines aggregate is manufactured at our Hailsham depot from the same clean, controlled recycled source as our certified Type 1 and 6F5 materials.

By choosing this recycled drainage stone, projects can be up to 20% more cost-effective compared to traditional 4–20mm primary quarried aggregate. It offers a highly sustainable solution that helps contractors meet strict corporate Scope 3 carbon reduction targets while maintaining excellent permeability.

Technical specifications and compliance:

• Compliance: Produced in strict accordance with BS EN 13242 standards for aggregates used in civil engineering and road construction.
• SuDS suitability: Fully optimised for sustainable drainage systems, making it suitable for attenuation and drainage layers beneath porous asphalt or permeable block paving, subject to client design specifications.
• Permeability performance: Cleanly screened to eliminate fine particles, creating an open-graded structure that maximises water flow and prevents clogging.

Delivery:

• Bulk delivery options are available across Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex.
• Delivery is normally available for large aggregate loads over 10 tonnes.
