HBM / CBGM
Reduce road construction depth by 50% and costs by 40% with Roadways HBM.
Roadways HBM is a Hydraulically Bound Material made with 100% recycled aggregates. Roadways supplies this cement-bound recycled aggregate material for builders, local authorities, groundworkers and private customers who need a practical, cost-effective alternative to traditional loose aggregates.
This highly versatile material is designed as a direct replacement for Type 1 or 6F5 in the lower layers of construction projects, or for road base and binder course asphalt layers in certain highway applications.
HBM is a high-performance sub-base aggregate produced from recycled aggregates graded from 0 to 20mm and blended uniformly with cement and GGBS cementitious material. Once laid and properly compacted, the cement activates to bind the material together as it cures. This process forms a stable, solid, semi-flexible foundation that resists ground movement.
