Roadways supplies high-quality recycled MOT Type 1 sub-base and 6F2 crushed concrete for builders, groundworkers, private customers and public-sector works across East Sussex and the wider South East region.

This locally produced recycled aggregate provides a highly sustainable and cost-effective alternative to primary quarried stone. It is fully compliant with the Specification for Highway Works, including Clause 803 for Type 1 and Clause 6F2 for capped layers, helping contractors meet strict corporate environmental policies and Scope 3 carbon reduction targets.

To ensure complete quality control, Roadways only accepts incoming waste from licensed waste carriers, and all materials are rigorously processed and chemically tested through our controlled depot operation.

Collection:

• Collection from Woodside Depot, Polegate Road, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 3PG.
• Collection Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm.
• Loose collection minimum 0.5 tonne.

Delivery:

• Bulk delivery options available across Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex.
• To ensure your required grade and volume are ready for you, please order large quantities in advance.

Disposal and recycling:

Roadways accepts suitable clean hardcore at Woodside Depot for recycling.

• Asphalt, concrete, bricks and tiles may be accepted from licensed waste carriers.
• All loads are subject to inspection and the appropriate waste transfer documentation.
• Loads containing soil, reinforcing steel or other unsuitable materials may be refused.
